Marina Club

The Marina Club is planned as the centerpiece of the community. The dramatic entry and timber framed design will offer a gateway to the Residents Community and Exercise facility, the public full service restaurant and the expansive outdoor terrace with water feature and gathering areas overlooking the River, restored wetlands, boat slips and Forest Preserve. Wetland restoration has begun with native plantings. Native landscaping serves an important function in absorbing and cleansing storm water and protecting the water quality of rivers and lakes. Hardier and more sustainable, it requires less water and labor than traditional lawns or formal plantings, prevents flooding and lowers maintenance costs. The available new floating slips will be 35' to 40' in size, include 30 or 50 amp electric and water with every slip. Boaters will access the docks via secured gates, with ample parking nearby. The Boats slips will be prioritized to Fay's Point Residents.

The dock slips have a view of forest preserves so this will always be a natural, serene setting. Imagine yourself at twilight sitting on your boat and enjoying some of your very own urban wilderness. Lake Michigan is only 14 miles away, or just cruise the Calumet-Sag for a short while after work, or get up early for a bit of fishing. The Little Calumet River is great for canoeing or kayaking and resident canoe/kayak storage will be available.
